Jeff Newman is the President and General Manager of Palm Coast Imports / HKC US. Along with Brendan Byrne, Jeff founded the company in 2009 to deliver a new approach to developing private-label ceiling fans and lighting products supplied to major home centers throughout the United States.
With a focus on innovation and design as well as quality manufacturing, they have grown the company into one of the largest ceiling fan and lighting suppliers to the industry, with substantial sales of domestically supplied products from their Memphis-based distribution center as well as direct import to key customers.
Prior to co-founding Palm Coast Imports, Jeff was Senior Vice President of Global Sales and International Marketing for the Hunter Fan Company. In this role, he was responsible for managing and growing all business worldwide as well as developing new products for the international market.
Jeff began his career in 1988 with the Valspar Corporation as a Territory Manager responsible for several major Home Center accounts in the mid-west. Jeff joined the Thompson/Minwax Company in 1996 as a Distributor Sales Manager in charge of all Midwestern distribution including Ace, TruServ and HWI. After a three year stint as National Account Manager Jeff joined the Hunter Fan Company in 1999 as Sr. National Account Manager responsible for all National COOP’s as well as K-Mart.
After numerous assignments including managing the Costco, Wal-Mart and Sam’s business Jeff was promoted to VP of Sales for the Lowe’s account in 2004 and ultimately named Sr. VP of Global Sales and International Marketing. Jeff is also the holder of numerous patents and trademarks.
Jeff earned his Bachelors and Master’s degrees from Central Michigan University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Jeff resides in the Charlotte area with his wife and two children. Activities include golf, tennis, baseball and travel.
